Mid-Century Sculptural Walnut Table Lamp

Product details

Seller's Notes:A stylish vintage mid-century modern table lamp dating to the 1960s, featuring an elongated wooden column supported by a sculptural patinated metal base. Its slender proportions, warm wood finish, and distinctive metal detailing create an elegant accent suitable for a wide range of interiors. The lamp’s central wooden shaft has a gently tapered, turned profile and a rich reddish-brown finish. The wood is framed by darkened metal fittings, including a particularly attractive flared collar at the base that resembles the opening petals of a flower. This organic detailing adds visual interest without detracting from the simplicity of the overall design. A broad circular metal base with concentric detailing anchors the composition, while the narrow wooden column gives the lamp a tall, refined silhouette. The contrast between the wood and metal adds depth and texture, reflecting the mid-century interest in combining natural materials with sculptural forms. The accompanying ivory-colored fabric shade has a tapered, multi-sided profile. Its soft neutral color complements the warm wooden column and darker metal components, helping create a balanced appearance. This lamp would make an attractive addition to a living room side table, bedroom dresser, entryway console, or reading corner. Its combination of organic curves and architectural proportions works particularly well alongside mid-century modern, vintage, and contemporary furnishings. With its understated decorative character and distinctive combination of materials, the lamp offers an appealing way to introduce vintage lighting and sculptural interest into a thoughtfully furnished space.
