Mid-Century Hamilton Drafting Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:Original drafting table manufactured by Hamilton in the US (Wisconsin) in the 1940s or 50s. This large work table features an oak base, pine tabletop and cast iron hardware. This large tabletop articulates to be either completely horizontal or pitched at varying degrees. The tabletop also raises, and lowers in order to adjust to the perfect working height, ranging from 32.5 inches at the lowest and raising up to 44 inches high. I used it horizontally as a large, sturdy work desk, with the protective cover on top. One could even use this as a dining table, or its original use as a drafting or art table when angled down. When my grandmother refurbished it, she added a utensil/tool holder at the bottom of the table surface, completely cleaned it, re-stained and oiled it. The protective cover was added to protect the drafting surface (old TV screen). Ready for any more years of use.
