Mid-Century Cut and Frosted Glass Lamp With Prisms
Product details
Seller's Notes:This charming table lamp has a frosted glass shade and cut glass prisms. It appears to have its original wiring, which helps to date the piece, probably to the late 1950s. (That the wiring is original also means it is probably safer to have it examined by an electrician, or else not to leave it "on" when unsupervised.) The switch is marked with a patent number (Patent 2,743,330) indicating that the "silent switch" design of the lamp's switch was patented by Louis Ludwig of New York in 1954. There are three subtle smudges on one side of the shade (see photo). The prisms will be detached for delivery, so reassembly will be required. Takes a standard E12 base size chandelier bulb. Height is 12"; shade is approximately 4.75" in diameter.
