Seller's Notes:We're moving and our loss could be your gain. For sale is this gorgeous Hans Olsen Style midcentury Danish rosewood platform bed with floating nightstands. Lesser versions can be found online for more than twice what we're asking. It's clean and sturdy. Because of the European sizing, the interior bed frame is about six inches wider than our standard queen but not quite as long as a king size. We ordered a custom latex mattress as well as a custom mattress pad and have slept soundly for many years. Our mattress is 78 inches long and 66 inches wide, whereas the standard queen size is 80 x 60 inches. Initially, we thought we needed special custom sheets but have found that king size sheets and bedding work fine. The total length of the bed is about 82.5 inches; the width of the footboard is 70 inches, and the width of the headboard is 104 inches; the height is 25.25 inches from the floor to the top of the headboard. We added pine 1 x 4 slats to support the mattress. The headboard has to be taken apart from the frame for transport and when we received it, a squeak was easily eliminated by adding a small piece of cardboard between the headboard and the platform frame (see photo).
