Seller's Notes:This is a genuine Marvetti cultered-ivory engraving, of The art for this print was originally used for the cover of Post Magazine on OCTOBER 18, 1924! Norman Rockwell captured the essence of the American veteran returning home. This beautiful picture is remarkable, double-etched engraving was created by the Marvetti Guil of applied art from a blend of carrara marble dust & other man made raw materials. It is a lovely translucent quality of ivory, yet no living creature has been harmed. This was a cherished heirloom, it is about 50 years old. Etched signature of Norman Rockwell. Housed in a wooden 17 "x 15" frame has a picture hook for hanging. The ivory etch picture is 8" x 10" which sits in center of frame. Frame has some scratches and needs repair or replace. Etched engraving is done in soft colors, such as blues, creames, pinks browns and etc. This is sure to bring joy to a true collecter, or to any deco.
