"Martha Washington" Style Sewing Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:Antique/Vintage "Martha Washington" style sewing stand/table. It was produced during the early part of the 20th century. It bears no labels and the maker is unknown. It is patterned off of sewing tables in use in the early 1800s, but far too late for Martha herself to have ever used one. It has a three-part flat top. The center is flanked by two hinged sections which open upward to reveal a storage bin on each side. There are three graduated drawers with a thread holder in the top drawer. The legs are removable for transport or storage. It is still useful for hand sewing/ embroidery etc. But is not a design you see everyday and works well as an accent piece with lots of useful storage.
