Magis Baguette Table Slate Top
Product details
Seller's Notes:Top is Italian ardesia slate (.75"-thick). The legs and frame are cast aluminum, heavy and strong, in black.
The Baguette Table is so svelte it seems to float, but it's actually strong enough to hold an entire buffet. French designers Ronan and Ewan Bouroullec created the look with a long, slender top fastened to cast aluminum legs that create the illusion of delicacy.
Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec founded their design firm in 1999, where they work on architectural projects, furniture, tableware, and accessories. In keeping with a belief in context, their Baguette Table (2011) refers to the original usage of the word “baguette,” meaning wand or baton, as in baguette magique (magic wand). Giving the illusion of floating in space, the tabletop is supported by a sleek base that’s “made from the least amount of aluminum possible,” says Erwan. Made in Italy.
