Ligne Roset Archi Armchair
Product details
Seller's Notes:Authentic Ligne Roset Archi Arm Chair
Extremely comfortable! Seat and lower back is a bit softer while upper back is fimer. Nice sit. Perfect for TV, reading or resting....but upright enough for coffee/wine and conversation in main living area.
Some would just use as is by tossing a sheepskin over the seat area. I would buy a new cover directly from Ligne Roset in one of hundreds of fabric choices. Even with a new cover, this is a fraction of the cost of a brand new Archi Arm chair which retails for $4,300 starting plus shipping and tax and can take 44-48 weeks.

Designed by Pierre Paulin:
Born in Paris in 1927, made his début in the 50's, known for his designs and installations (TV, Thonet, Bertrand Faure, Disderot, Artifort), he brought modernity to the Elysée Palace for President Pompidou in 1971. He designed all the furniture for the official office of François Mitterrand, and renovated the dining room for Jacques Chirac. At the same time, he founded ADSA with two associates, working on industrial projects (Calor, Allibert, Stamp) and brand image (Air France) as well as fitting-out railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare de Versailles Rive Gauche). His pieces figure amongst the collections of numerous museums across the world, and various exhibitions have been dedicated to him in 2007/8. MOMA, New York has enlarged its collection of Paulin pieces.
Archi is a reproduction of the CM 194 HD fireside chair and the CM 195 HD armchair - both designed by Pierre Paulin in 1955. Ligne Roset pays tribute to their timeless design. Archi's generous slope and ergonomic seat design support the body perfectly. The high back enables one to rest the head and shoulders. It is available with or without arms. The legs come in black lacquer or brilliant chrome.
