Seller's Notes:Vintage Marilyn Monroe Statue. Life-sized Marilyn, made of painted resin and welded to chair. In very good condition, except for some scratches on shoulder (shown in photo) and some discoloration and slight chipping of white paint on middle to bottom skirt of dress; both of these are flaws which can be touched up. I believe item was originally displayed in art house theater. It would be great and witty addition to any home, or great as display in store, diner, or salon! It is similar in spirit to iconic statue by Seward Johnson which can be seen in Palm Springs (though not nearly as gigantic); the crowd-drawing MM statue in front of Tropic Theatre in Key West; and the sculptures of Duane Hanson. This piece is more than decor--it is a fun and relevant statement piece of art, which has graced my living room for over 3 decades, and which I am selling only because of a planned move.
