Seller's Notes:This Corbusier chair is a dark aubergine leather (in the "purple" family) and was bought at Atelier International Ltd. in the 1980s. (Company no longer exists.) It was made and produced here by Cassina under license from the estate of Le Corbusier and so indicated by a stamped serial number on the underside of the steel tubing on the left armrest. The frame, highly polished tubing (steel) is hand formed and bent with heat. It is a single piece of steel; you can see the difference when other companies imitate this style and how the copies are made.
