Seller's Notes:This is a very cool piece of vintage furniture. Wish I could keep it, but it doesn't really work in our new space. Solid cedar (great to store woolen sweaters since it naturally keeps moths away - but currently used as a bar) with lighter wood veneer on outside. It has three drawers on the right side. Original details include beautiful diamond shaped drawer handles (possibly brass), slanted legs (very 1950s) and original moth damage warranty and tag (warranty expired in 1958). The hinges still work great. The lock of the chest lid doesn't close on its own. And there is a trick to close it. But other than that, it's in great shape given it's over 60 y.o. This chest was made by Lane Company in Altavista VA. Traditionally, it is a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation. Serial number indicates it was made in 1955.
