Product details
Seller's Notes: Pair of pillows made out of African Kuba cloth. African iumhis, also called dancing mats. The mats are used to sit on, to decorate huts and they have been used as currency when trading with other tribes. Made from hand woven cloth, hand-stitched in different patterns with raffia hand-dyed with natural dyes. No two mats are alike but since a stitcher tends to favor the same patterns and colors, pillows will coordinate well. These pillows are are a beautiful set intricately stitched in cream and dark brown with black and tan tufts. They are 14 inches square with coordinating designs. They have tan zippered linen backs so you can remove the pillow forms and gently handwash the pillows.
