Seller's Notes:Hi, My name is John Adey. 65 rears, born and raised around Concord Massachusetts. My grandfather was a cabinetmaker, born in Adeytown, New Foundland. Retired in St. Pete. I spent many teenage summers there. He only gave me one piece of advice... “ Never take a short stroke on your saw, always send it as far forward and as far back as you can". My Dad was a mechanical designer, but he had a side hustle. A storefront, in Maynard, MA, which he ran on the weekends. It was called " Punkin Pine," in which he built inexpensive , and mostly; affordable, PineKitchen hutches , telephone tables (this was the 60’s! ) by using inexpensive and locally grown pine, brought by locals to the local mills. Those weekends are the basis for my work. Everything I create brings me back to those moments , as a child, the newness of each piece, the smell of the burning wood stove. I build each piece as if it was the first and only.√
