Seller's Notes:This poster was hand-painted in gouache on illustration board by John Lomasney in 1969. Between 1925 and 1981, the reclusive Lomasney painted some 800 movie posters which were displayed at the Royal Hawaiian Theater in Honolulu. After Lomasney's death in 1989, the collection was acquired by John McEnroe for his Soho art gallery. Each Lomasney poster is a unique work of art. On 2/27/14 Lomasney's poster for the 1972 movie "The Getaway" sold at auction for $1,500. "The Gay Deceivers" was a 1969 comedy. The poster also includes four original movie stills.
