John Lomasney Hand-Painted Movie Poster - Bad Company
Product details
Seller's Notes:This poster was hand-painted in gouache on illustration board by John Lomasney in 1972. Between 1925 and 1981, the reclusive Lomasney painted some 800 movie posters which were displayed at the Royal Hawaiian Theater in Honolulu. After Lomasney's death in 1989, the collection was acquired by John McEnroe for his Soho art gallery. Each Lomasney poster is a unique work of art. On 2/27/14 Lomasney's poster for the 1972 movie "The Getaway" sold at auction for $1,500. "Bad Company" was a 1972 Western with Jeff Bridges and Barry Brown, who are both pictured on the poster.
