Seller's Notes: The set of two exquisite and truly unique end tables was made in 2002 at the Jattu Furniture Factory in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, the Himalayan kingdom. The tables were custom designed by the factory's general manager. The tables were constructed -- carved, painted and assembled -- 100 percent by hand. I had the tables made when I lived and worked in Bhutan. The table design is rooted in Buddhist shapes, colors and motifs, which are clearly illustrated in the pictures. Some of the painting, as the pictures depict, is raised relief. The tables are for sale only as a pair.
