In Common With by Sophie Lou Jacobsen Red Sconces

Product details

Seller's Notes:Part of the designer's Flora Collection, these sculptural wall lights feature richly colored cherry-red glass with an organic, flower-like silhouette. Each shade is individually formed using a specialized glass-slumping technique, in which glass softens and drapes over a mold to create its beautifully irregular, petal-like shape. The result is a striking architectural fixture that casts a gorgeous warm red glow when illuminated. **Details:** - Designer: Sophie Lou Jacobsen with In Common With - Collection: Flora - Model: Vera Sconce - Retailer: Quarters NYC - Color: Cherry red glass - Materials: Glass and brass - Dimensions: Approximately 9.75"W × 4"D × 7.875"H each - Quantity: 2 matching sconces, sold as a pair - Hardwired, dimmable lighting

A slumped glass sconce whose floral shape is formed by gravity. Sheets of cut glass are placed over plaster molds in a kiln; as the temperature rises, the glass softens and drapes over the form. The result is a petal-like profile that reads differently from every angle — neither fully flat nor fully dimensional. Fitted with two side-by-side dim-to-warm bulbs and hand-finished brass hardware.
