Seller's Notes:Good condition, Ikea Stenstorp kitchen island & dining table in white. Sturdy butcher block top in solid oak. Remainder of island is solid wood in oak and birch. 2 spacious storage shelves are solid wood with stainless steel tops. On opposite of island there is seating space for 2 stools. Measurements are approx 49.5" L x 31" W x 35.5 H. This island is an absolute cult favorite (seriously, browse some Google results), because it serves as a central kitchen work center, great storage space, and dining table all in one. It retailed for $399.99 from Ikea and typically sells used for $300+ because of its great popularity and durability. Its a great quality piece that will last for years and years (not a typical Ikea product). It has been a lifesaver for me in a tiny NYC apartment with a tiny combined kitchen/living room and no storage cabinets or room for a actual dining table. Purchased approx. 4 years ago at Ikea in Brooklyn. Selling because I have moved to a new apartment with a little separate kitchen so I don't need it. Selling at at a bargain (seriously, compare the asking prices of other listings and other websites) because I'm moving last minute (sigh) and this must be out of my apartment at the very latest by Monday, August 10. Island is in good condition, with some light scratches and a few small stains on the butcher block (hardly noticeable) that you'd expect from a piece used for a few years. The island is extremely customizable - search online for Ikea hacks of Stenstorp islands and you'll see tons of examples of how people have changed the base color, stained the wood top a different color, added sides to conceal items stored on the stainless steel shelves, etc. Rather than buying a new island of similar size and functionality ($400 at minimum for a island of similar size and style at Ikea, much more for islands from other retailers) save yourself some MONEY and the hassle of assembly by taking this piece at a bargain. :) Again, this item must be picked up by Monday, August 10, 2020.
