If you are looking for a sofa that's like new, this one's not for you and I'd suggest perhaps a fabric sofa for this budget. However, I'm super picky about design and I have been able to live with it despite wear and tear as I love the look of leather. I usually drape a throw and pillows which cover almost all of the worn bits. It could use a cleaning (actually quite easy with magic eraser and water), but also has aging of leather and some scratches/ small tears on the arm which are permanent. You'll need to embrace it, or cover it with pillows/throws or a full cover (website Bemz does inexpensive custom Karlstad covers). Alternatively, you can purchase a leather refinishing kit online to paint fill and buff out cracks and scratches. Legs have been covered with gold sheeting - can be removed but I think it makes it look less "Ikea" I have tried to capture all of this on the pictures so you know exactly what you are getting and are satisfied :)
