Seller's Notes:Another beloved discontinued IKEA treasure, the GROLAND is intended as a food-safe extra workspace for your culinary adventures. This particular GROLAND has seen years of use and care by a cook who cares greatly for their tools. This butcher block was purchased used in Philadelphia in 2014, and came with many of the stains and cuts still seen. The piece can, but should not, be disassembled- because it's assembled by driving wood bolts into pine, the wood will not hold threads and will make the bolts loose when reassembled, unless one wishes to fill the existing holes with a wood epoxy. The piece can be cleaned with standard multipurpose cleaner or a food-safe bleach solution (look up how to make food-safe bleach solution for sanitizing prep surfaces). The surface may be cared for by using commercially-available butcher block oil. Additionally, underneath the cutting surface is a storage area and two metal rods, ideal for use as hanging storage so you can get the maximum space efficiency out of this piece of furniture.
