Seller's Notes:Here's the hard-to-find sofabed that's really comfortable both as a couch and for sleeping all night. Heavy duty canvas zippered cover (separate pieces for bottom and back and pillows) come off and are machine washable. Subtle basketweave pattern in natural/light beige color. I've had this since about 2005 and it's in very good condition. Measurements: 77" W, 35.5" D, 14" H (to top of seat cushion), 29" H to top of back The back support flips backwards and this couch instantly morphs into a twin size bed. Seat is ultra supportive and comfortable, with a spring core and polyurethane foam. The "legs" are ovals of bent birch wood with natural finish The Allerum sofa is low slung with exaggerated dimensions. The bottom cushion is a bit wider and longer than a twin mattress and comes with huge twin round pillows (I only have one). It is a sleek mod day bed, with style to complement mid century and modern decor. Bonus points for being a sleeper with no arms for those with exceptionally tall guests. No need to move other furniture to pull out the mattress. You won't lay awake with your back sagging against the support bar all night like a traditional hide-a-bed. The Allerum was ranked in the Top Sofabeds for 2012 by various magazines and reviews, however IKEA has discontinued them. Due to the very large demand for this sofa bed and the large numbers sold, there are multiple companies online which still make slip covers for the Allerum.
