Seller's Notes:Iconic vintage original Charles and Ray Eames 670 lounge chair and 671 ottoman for Herman Miller in Brazilian rosewood and dark brown leather. The chair and ottoman are in fantastic condition, with some light scratches from use, and the leather and would have been freshly treated. Both pieces are dated 1981 (see label in images) when Brazilian rosewood was still being used. Due to its environmental exploitation, an international ban was placed on the Brazilian rosewood species in 1992, which halted Herman Miller's use of the wood on all the Eames products. Brazilian rosewood still cannot be exported in any capacity, so the wood is very rare to find used in furniture.
