Seller's Notes:Two separate pieces when stacked measure 95" high are being sold as one. The bottom piece is 53 1/2" tall and the top piece is 41 1/2" tall. They look perfectly seamless together due to the cleaver craftsmanship design which allows them to lock together in the middle. This bookshelf is sturdy and has been kept lovingly in the same spot since it was purchased. We have a pet-free, pest-free, smoke-free home. We are the original owners of this beautiful bookshelf. This classic piece is made of top grade White Ash solid hardwood which we personally selected from the lumber yard in its raw state. We watched as the large planks were cut down to our specifications to be built to fit against a 23" wide wall space. We chose hardwood because of its beauty, stability and strength. This hardwood was kiln-dried at a controlled temperature to reduce its moisture content which prevents re-absorption of moisture and has allowed it to remain stable over time and also less likely to swell, shrink, crack or warp like cheaper woods will as they age. The rounded shelf extenders appear to float off the left edge of the bookshelf but are reinforced with brown metal L-brackets. The underside of the main shelves have been reinforced with mini-L's to provide additional support and stability for heavier items. It comes with 24 Hafele 5mm, steel, nickel-plated shelf supports (as pictured) so you can adjust shelving to your needs since the inner side walls have pre-drilled slots. You can raise the shelves, lower them or even add more shelves as you wish.
