Created by the Swedish designer Greta Grossman from her Los Angeles studio in post-war 1947, the Grasshopper Floor Lamp’s unique silhouette has graced homes, offices, hotels and other spaces for 70 years. Of her many designs, the Grasshopper is considered amongst her most iconic. The angled, carbon-steel rods of the stand give the lamp its asymmetric and odd perspective. The tripod and feet provide both style and substance, giving the lamp stability while adding to the unusual profile. The conical head that keeps the lamp’s light sharply directed can be swiveled in any direction. This masterpiece of industrial is manufactured using powder-coated steel that will see the lamp last for many years. The Grasshopper Floor Lamp is available in a range of different shades, including a strikingly bright, fun orange.
