Seller's Notes: Mid-century, attributed to Charles Hollis Jones, but I can not find a maker's mark. Have you been craving a ginormous, glass and silver metal table? This is it! Very large, comfortably seats 6, but can easily fit 8 people who like one another. Dimensions: Height: 28 1/4 inches tall, base. Total height with glass: 29 1/16 (this includes leather spacer) Width: metal base is 6 feet, 1/2 inch long, Glass is 6 feet long Depth: 3 feet wide/deep Thick glass top is 3/4” with edges that look greenish Condition of glass: Slight eased/beveled edge, all around perimeter, both top and bottom at a 45-degree angle. Done by manufacturer. Edges and corners are chipped, top has fine scratches. Of course, a runner or tablecloth would cover. Condition of metal: Silver, possibly chrome. Very bright, highly polished, and reflective. Has some rust, and some white spray paint overspray on front legs. (Pictured) Metal could be repainted, or left as is for an industrial aesthetic. Glass top is held slightly spaced from metal base via four, dark-brown leather straps that snap closed. 2 keep unsnapping themselves when it rains, and you may want to replace with some inexpensive silicone circles. (Search: clear furniture pads, or glass table top bumpers, etc) Sturdy, excellent aspect ratio and modern. Flat, clean, clear glass, not frosted or ‘shower-glass’ textured. Could be dining, desk, meeting, or display table. Would also work well as a glass surface for mixing ink or paint, in an artist’s studio. A great find!
