Seller's Notes:This is a beautiful very old French Vanity chair. It is supposed to be used in front of a make-up table or a vanity, but would look beautiful for other purposes too. It was made in France, somewhere between 1860-1880, in the Louis XVI style. It has recently been refurnished in a beautiful red French deep velvet colour. Its measurements are: 24 inches wide x 25 inches high (ground to top) x 15 inches deep x 19 inches high (ground to sitting) The gilding work is authentic, has not been restored. We like to keep the item as authentically beautiful and old looking as possible, because we believe that adds to the luxurious feeling that people get from this chair. It is in a very good condition when you take its age into consideration. This is a beautiful authentic piece, yet also very sturdy. It has been beautifully hand carved and decorated with flowery motives and branches that flow from the Louis XVI style that it was crafted in perfectly.
