Seller's Notes:One-of-a-kind, framed collection of vintage wood letterpress type pieces in a black 8 in. x 10 in. wood shadowbox frame. 2 1/2 in. deep. Many of the type designs and sizes included are rare. Wood type was first created in 1828 and the Letterpress printing procedure that used this type was in use until the 1920's. During that period there were 13 different manufacturers of wood type in the US. These pieces show the beauty of the wood itself as well as the patina and ink color hues from years of use. Look for additional framed type combinations and sizes on this site. No two are the same.
