Seller's Notes:We bought this painting at a Scarsdale estate sale. It is a very unusual reproduction--it is simply not a print of the original. It has the texture of a canvas, but it is not an actual oil painting. The artist, Francesco Beda, was an Italian artist, who lived from 1840 until 1900. He is known for paintings like the one shown--aristocratic scenes. We have loved this painting because of its colors, its rendition of a French drawing room and its composition. The painting itself measures 35.5" long and 23.5" wide. The dimensions given above are for the painting and its most interesting frame. We are selling because we are moving and have no wall space for the painting.
