Seller's Notes:My parents purchased this dining table set 20 years ago in the West Village at a store called Gotham Galleries (which doesn't seem to exist anymore). We enjoyed many a family meal at this table and my mom made sure to keep it in tip-top shape -- never once allowing a drop of liquid near the glossy finish. They are downsizing to a small apartment so don't have a need for such a large table anymore. Some additional details: - In its standard setting, it can seat 6 people - two chairs on either side and one at each head. - There are two extendable boards which can be inserted in the middle which add can double the seatings (I think we've even fit up to 14 at the table when fully extended) - The table comes with 6 matching chairs -- two "head-of-the-table" chairs with arm rests and 4 regular chairs without arms (see pictures of chairs). Chair dimensions below: Head-of-the-table chairs: 23 1/8" W (arm-to-arm) x 17" H, backrest: 19.5" H Regular side chairs: 17.5" W x 17" H, backrest: 19.5" - The table sits on legs with casters so table can be moved/rolled easily
