Empty 1950s Zenith Entertainment Cabinet
Product details
Seller's Notes:Empty cabinet for an early 1950s Zenith Entertainment center. Electronics NOT included. Professionally refinished several years ago. With some internal attention, it could make a beautiful storage unit. The entire unit could be fitted with shelves, or let your imagination find a use for the round bezel -- picture frame, fishbowl, video screen? Perhaps of interest, this model of Zenith (clearly not this very item) played a part in the 1955 movie The Seven Year Itch in which Tom Ewell uses it to play a recording for Marilyn Monroe (see last photo). This unit was owned by my wife's parents. I began restoring the electronics several years ago, but had to give up when the picture tube failed and no replacement could be found.
