Seller's Notes:Very good used condition. Some light scuffs, scratches and stains in places but much less than would be expected on a 25-30 year-old chair -- all welds are solid. 3 chairs still have Emeco tags under seat, one with a Metwood manufacturing label (Metwood is Emeco), labels have fallen off other two. One or two of the glides are in rough shape, and all have at least some rust. New glides are available from Emeco, I never got around to ordering them and swapping out. These chairs are unique due to the presence of only one stretcher (a much less institutional look in my opinion...), also some have a bit more clear gloss than others -- see explanation from Emeco below: "There was a short period of time in the 1990’s that we experimented with the idea of the chairs having only one stretcher. However that design only lasted a few years as the Navy decided they liked the look and usability of two stretchers. During that same time period, we experimented with applying a clear gloss to the chair to give them a smooth finish, instead of the rougher, grainier, brushed aluminum finish the chairs have today."
