The two full-length doors carry a repeating diamond-pattern muntin grid, the intersecting glazing bars forming a continuous geometric surface that distinguishes this piece from the far more common rectangular-pane glazed bookcase configuration. The satinwood string inlay running along the door stiles adds a refined decorative accent entirely in keeping with the Sheraton and Edwardian neoclassical vocabulary the piece draws on. The interior provides four shelves within a mahogany-lined case, the warm timber visible through the diamond-patterned glazing from any angle.
