Seller's Notes:Exceptional early 19th century Italian painting of the Virgin Mary. The facial expression is beautiful and the depiction of both crown and halo is highly unusual. This painting came from the owner's ancestral home (a 16th Century Italian monastery) in Emilia Romagna, Italy, where it originated, and has never been previously sold. The frame has some blemishes consistent with its age, and can easily be restored. The canvas and the painting are in exceptional condition. Must sell!
