Seller's Notes:Offering a rare and iconic tandem bench designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Developed for comfort and convenience, the bench features a solid steel t-bar frame with molded textile covered fiberglass seats and table, raised on aluminum legs. The chairs, impeccably designed, are durable and easy to maintain, this tandem set is perfect for a hallway or lobby or perhaps the home theater. The bracket system allows the chairs and table to be easily rearranged if a different configuration is desired. The seats are covered with a purple wool/poly blend woven Knoll textile, a detail that makes this object even more rare. Overall, the bench is in good original condition, with slight wear, to be expected with age and commercial use. The original Herman Miller stamps and certification is present on all seat bottoms, as well as on the steel frame. Everything about this mid-century modern object is completely original. One small plastic foot is missing but can be found and is easily replaced. This piece would be a fantastic addition to an office, waiting room, or living room. It’s certainly a unique find!
