Seller's Notes:Vintage Herman Miller Aluminum Group Executive chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. This is one of my favorite chair designs of all time but I found after buying it that I'm too tall for it. This is an original / authentic chair in black leather with black arms, likely from the late 1960s. The chair is in great condition, with a small amount of wear consistent with age. From the DWR (Design Within Reach) description: "When Charles and Ray Eames designed the Eames Aluminum Management Chair and Side Chair (1958), they created a revolution in seating that has lost none of its edge. These chairs were originally developed as a special project for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. Moving away from the Eameses' shell forms of the 1940s, the designers combined a newly affordable aluminum frame with a sling seat that subtly conforms to the body's shape.
