Drexel Vintage John Van Koert Drop-Leaf Extension Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:An elegant, cleverly designed John van Koert dining table, c. 1957, for Drexel in walnut and pecan wood. Drop-leaf top with three extra leaves, on square tapered legs, underside bears Drexel stencil. Legs and frame are solid wood, table top is veneer. Top is treated so will not show water marks. The table extends out to 72 inches with the three leaves and contracts down to 16" without them. Some wear on top edge, but otherwise in excellent condition. Practical and very well-made, it is a gorgeous example of authentic mid-century modern design. The table is wonderfully flexible. With the side leaves down, without the middle leaves inserted, the table is a wonderful sideboard. With the leaves up, in its square form, it is the perfect size for every day use for 1 to 4 people. In its largest form, it can seat 10-12.
