Seller's Notes:This set has stood the test of time! Still sturdy and beautiful, the table and chairs were made in Spain by STUA. The veneer is made of an African hardwood called wenge. The set was originally purchased from Design Within Reach in 2006 and the wenge finish was subsequently discontinued (wenge became a protected tree in 2011). The retailer link for the chairs shows a similar walnut finish, for comparison. The wear and tear on the set is barely noticeable, except one noticeable scratch on one seat.
