Seller's Notes:A single Paulistano armchair, originally purchased from Design Within Reach but currently distributed by other retailers (TRNK, Espasso, etc.) The chair was manufactured in France by Objekto, a French-Brazilian purveyor of design. Designed in 1957 by Pritzker Prize recipient Paulo Mendes da Rocha, this iconic lounge chair is timeless, comfortable and chic. Originally designed for the lounge of the Athletic Club of São Paulo, the chair was inducted into the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection in 2007. The chair’s frame is made from a single piece of steel, and is finished in polished stainless steel. The frame is paired with a full grain, semi-analine leather sling seat in cognac color. The leather shows beautiful patina from seven years of gentle use - there is a certain amount of minor stains and discoloration (the chair is priced accordingly); please review all photos. We have two chairs (as seen in one of the photos) but only one is for sale.
