Seller's Notes:These lamps retail for $475 each on the Design Within Reach website (http://www.dwr.com/product/lampe-gras-model-205-task-lamp.do?sortby=ourPicks) and are useful and attractive. They're really versatile for a desk, bedside table, or a side table. The are adjustable at three points - the base, the spine and the neck. One of them is a little weaker in the base adjustment and ball bearing was glued to avoid slipping. They work with low wattage globes but are still light enough to read by (I use one as a bedside light). These cords have plugs that are European but come with American converters that are part of the plug (you wont notice).
