Handcrafted in New Zealand, the Geometric Tri LED Pendant (2013) is the brainchild of Scott Bridgens and Simon James, who founded their company Resident on a desire to give customers “an authentic blend of craft and innovation.” Their Auckland-based design and manufacturing business produces a refined and carefully planned assortment of furniture and lighting. To create Tri, the designers paired cutting-edge LED technology with a slim yet substantial metal frame that appears to hover in air, spending months testing lights until they found the perfect warm hue. The beautiful quality of light “will have a deep intrinsic effect on the viewer,” explains Bridgens. “For some it will be very subtle and for others it will be profound, but this is something that will affect people.” A recessed diffuser furthers the pleasing qualities of the light. The frame hangs from three thin wires, two of which supply electricity. Bulbs (included): LED strips. UL Listed. Made in New Zealand.
