Seller's Notes: Authentic Design Within Reach Dulwich Extension Dining Table in walnut, designed by Matthew Hilton. Purchased new from DWR in 2019. This is the larger rectangular model that expands from 62” to 98” with two extension leaves that conveniently store inside the table. Seats 6 comfortably and up to 10 when fully extended. The table is in very good, gently used condition. It is structurally excellent, and the extension mechanism operates smoothly. Please note the following cosmetic wear: - The walnut finish has lightened over time from normal sun exposure, giving it a warmer, lighter patina than when new. - There are a few minor nicks and signs of wear along the edges consistent with normal use. - No structural issues, major scratches, water damage, or veneer damage. Current retail is over $5,000, making this a great opportunity to own a high-quality designer dining table at less than half the price. Pickup only in NYC, Queens. The legs can be removed for easier transport.

Since graduating from London’s Kingston Polytechnic in 1979, Matthew Hilton has built a following for his innovative furniture and lighting, with pieces held in the permanent collections of London’s Geffrye and Victoria & Albert Museums, among others. His Dulwich Extension Table (2016) - pronounced “dull-itch,” just like its London neighbor Greenwich - is a masterclass in function and craft. The piece’s slender legs draw outward from the corners, maximizing user legroom, while details like mitered joints and visible through-tenons speak to its artistry. Finished with a solid-wood edge banding for durability, the tabletop has a locking steel mechanism that easily opens to accommodate the table’s additional leaves. Made in Lithuania. One rectangular table, three sizes. Simply pull one end of the table and the top smoothly expands, allowing insertion of up to two leaves for three possible table lengths: 62.25", 80" and 97.25". One round table, two sizes. Designed for small spaces, the round table extends from 49.25" to 68.25" with one leaf. After guests depart, store the leaves in the felt-lined compartment under the top – a feature that eliminates the “find the leaf” drama before gatherings.
