Danner Revolving Bookcase
Product details
Seller's Notes: This Victorian/turn-of-the-century rotating Danner bookcase is a great piece that sadly must give way to some soulless built-ins. As it is unusually tall for a bookcase of this design, it holds an insane amount of books and is a real conversation piece. Some nicks and scratches and one lower slat missing, but it has all the original brass studs and clear maker's mark. There is some scuffing on the underside of shelves from where books in the shelf below have rubbed, but with an 11" clearance, we rarely had books that wouldn't fit in the shelves. The shelves themselves are 7.25" deep. It comes in two pieces with the case balanced on a heavy center post. We've never had an issue with rotating it, even with uneven distribution of weight. (Note: if you're measuring for your space - each shelf is 22.25" wide so total depth when revolving is about 31.5 inches.) We will miss it!
