Seller's Notes:This bed was originally purchased for $2,300 last August, so less than a year ago! We ended up not needing it anymore, so it's up for grabs. The wood is untreated and unfinished, so if you like the natural look, you can keep it! If you want a specific stain to match your decor, you can still stain it! If you want to paint it the perfect color, you can do that, too! We spent $200 making several improvements to this bed, which add to its value. We replaced the slats with thicker, more sturdy slats, put an additional layer of plywood on top of the slats, and put cables w/turnbuckles in an "X" configuration to secure it even more. The stairs were custom-made with pull-out drawers and there are shelves at the head of the bed to serve as a nightstand. Everything you need! The dimensions are about 77" from the head to the foot of the bed, and 60" across. There are are 53" from the bottom of the bed to the floor. The bed is about 87" tall, but that includes the headboard. In the photos, the ceiling is 96" tall, and people from 5'5"-6' could easily sit up in the bed to read a book, lounge as if it were a couch, etc. PLUS, it holds 1,000 pounds and probably more with the improvements we made. It's very difficult to find a loft bed that safely sleeps more than one adult! The stairs are about a foot wide and 11 inches deep--they're a great addition, much more convenient than the traditional climbing-up-the-side-of-the-bed method. :)
