Seller's Notes:This 54-inch table has gorgeous and amazing woodwork. The detail of carvings around the pedestal on 3 different levels is the most gorgeous I've ever seen and in the 10 years since I bought it, I've seen nothing like this. This is a very heavy and stable table. Living in a NYC apartment, it's gotten rougher, especially since I have a grandson I created a play spot for right in the center of my living room and the dining area is directly to the right of his play area and is small. Because of that I finally gave in to logic and decided to sell this table that I love and get a 48-inch table from Macy's that is certainly pretty but has none of the detail or finished woodwork of this beauty. I know it's hardwood and believe it's oak. 10 years ago I paid near to $1000 on a discount. I have loved every minute and everyone who sees it always comments on its beauty. There was a leaf that I threw out because I had no place to keep. Table is 54 inches and standard height of 30.5 inches tall it's very difficult to get rid of this beauty however space demands it. This is for someone who has more space or a larger room. I think a leaf for it can always be gotten. I am getting a 48 inch table. The table has always had this glass on it since I bought because I did not want the top to be damaged. You can see the beauty of the wood through the glass. Cash only. Serious calls only.
