Seller's Notes:A beautiful Aki chair designed by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina, Italy upholstered in a soft and comfortable wool. The color and fabric are from the original 2000 designs--a lovely and sophisticated shade of orange that will add a pop of color to any room without being too bright or neon. This is a vintage piece, but it is in mint condition. A few tiny scratches on the hardware at the feet of the chair, but these are not noticeable. One tiny slightly darker spot on the back left-hand side, which is barely visible (as you can see from the third photo). The chair is striking yet incredibly comfortable to sit in and works easily well in a corner or by a low coffee table. Originally designed in 1996 and produced for market in 2000, this range of chairs won the 1997 Good Design Award and are a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Saint-Etienne, France. When bought new from Cassina, the Aki chair with this hardware and fabric starts at $5,000.
