Bernhardt Dark Brown Wood Dining Set

Product details

Seller's Notes:Heirloom quality 9-piece dining room suite by the Bernhardt Furniture Company. This set belongs to the prestigious, historically licensed Smithsonian Collection (circa 2009). The design for the table was inspired by a Smithsonian library table ca 1885-1900 with acanthus leaf carved and turned legs that attach to a trestle with an elaborate vase finial at the center (image description attached). Because this was a limited and licensed replication this collection is completely out of production and highly sought after by collectors and luxury furniture enthusiasts. It is virtually impossible to find a complete 9-piece set on the secondary market. Original Gallery MSRP: Over $13,500 Current Offering Price: $2,550 (An incredible value) The table features a "fancy face" top crafted from exotic Prima Vera veneers (often called "Golden Mahogany"). The wood slices are hand-arranged in a geometric pattern that displays a shimmering, three-dimensional grain pattern under the light. Both the table framework and the eight chairs are made of heavy solid hardwoods offering solid sturdiness and durability. • Current Setup (92" Long): Configured with one 20" leaf inserted, comfortably seating 8. • Maximum Setup (112" Long): Insert the second included 20" leaf to expand the table to a grand 112 inches, easily seating 10. • Seating Included: 6 Chesapeake Statesman Side Chairs (Model 307-555) and 2 matching, hand-carved head-of-table Statesman Arm Chairs. • Tabletop Finish: The gorgeous Prima Vera veneer top has been 100% protected by a custom-cut sheet of thick glass, which is included with the sale. The finish underneath is immaculate. • Upholstery: The neutral, upscale fabric across all eight chairs is in pristine, flawless condition—absolutely zero stains, fading, or tears. Colors in the fabric range from hues of light beige / latte / camel with chocolate brown undertones. • Note on Leaves: The set includes two 20" leaves. One leaf is currently inside the table and protected by the glass. The second leaf is brand new and unused; however, it sustained a surface scratch while in storage.
