Seller's Notes:This Bernhardt sofa is constructed with kiln dried hardwood. Dowel construction that is screwed and glued with 8 way hand tied springs. This is considered one of the best methods for sofa construction and will last for many years. Bernhardt designed this sofa with a heavy fabric slip cover as opposed to a standard fabric covering. The base is covered in a white fabric. You can easily have a new slip cover created if you would like a change. Easy to clean the cover at the dry cleaners if necessary. This was the main reason we bought it. The sofa has been sat on about 15 times over the years and has never had anything spilled on the fabric. It comes from an adult home with no children, pets, or smoking.
