NO plastic, only metal (brass) & screws (Comes with original (paper) instructions, on how to assembly it, but selling it assembled already) It can be very easily painted any color you want & is currently a coppery brown. (paint takes to it very easily) Has 3 (see thru metal, NO glass) shelves, that can, if you wish, be covered with something thick so they do not have openings. Holds books, magazines, Etc.
