The chair’s design contrasts clean, geometric lines with material warmth, combining a solid wood frame with Viennese cane details. Now produced by Cassina, this low-slung seat is part of the Italian manufacturer’s Homage to Pierre Jeanneret Collection. Choose from teak and oak finishes. Made in Italy. Set into the wood frame, the wicker seat and backrest are characteristic of the Indian tradition, as is the use of teak, which distinguishes the legendary model revisited by Cassina. Designed for the Hall of the Chandigarh General Hospital and present in many private homes, the chair is known for the “Z” shape of its sides, made up of three flush elements.
