Art-Deco Wardrobe
Product details
Seller's Notes:This wardrobe unit is in fairly good condition. It is very charming and functional, with small name plates for where "hats" & "ties" should go. On the left side, the 12.5" suit hanger slides out, so you can store suits with their front buttons facing the viewer. At the bottom are steel rods, acting as a shoe rack. On the door is one bar labeled "ties." The other side has a standard metal rod for hanging (21" long), and a shelf above it labeled "hats". There is a full-length mirror on the right door. And there are small slates on the back wall on each side for cedar blocks. The furniture tag states "F.F. (SUITES) LTD. LONDON 446." I believe it's from the late 50s, as the front is art-deco style with brass and ivory handles. There is a star-beam inlay of the wood on the front, and some scratches from wear around the handles and other parts of the sides of the unit. The side pieces are slightly rounded, giving it softer edges near the door and the top of the unit. The unit closes well, with original hinges and handles all in perfect working order and tightly screwed in place. It sits on small original wheels, making it easy to maneuver.
